This is a Scholarship to be given to two bright and talented students living in the Portmore
or Spanish Town area.These students have to possess exceptional talent in either
Academics, Sports or Recreation;(Music,Drama etc.) However the Scholarship is
design to be of assistance to any individual whose parent(s) or guardian is in
the minimum wage earning or below. Area Code 876 Music believes it's a shame
to waste the talent of a child from being all that he or she can be because of
the lack of funds to pursue their full potentials.It's the belief of this Company,
that an Educated Jamaican builds a better Jamaica.Once these children are Sponsored they both will receive a Hundred Thousand Dollar each annually as long as they maintain a level of excellence during their Five years of Study during High School. Because this is an ongoing program and a non profit Organization, funds will be raised yearly for the start of every Primary School Term.This will result in a child being given the opportunity to win a scholarship at every Common Entrance examination. This move has already met the Approval of The Mayor Of Portmore, Hon.George Lee who applauded Area Code 876 for taking a positive step in Nation building.
